Greetings - Most of us are aware that there are toxic chemicals in our environment that can ruin our health. These toxins enter our environment as air, soil, and water contaminants. From there, we assimilate these harmful substances into our bodies - from the air we breathe, from our water taps and from liquid beverages, from food grown in contaminated soil, from the cookware we use, and even from the dental fillings in our mouth. Some even enter us directly through our skin in our daily environment. These toxins have been linked to a variety of illnesses, and can seriously hamper our health. However, it’s almost impossible to avoid these toxins in our daily life. So what are we to do? If we can’t avoid these toxins, is there a way we can minimize their effect on our health? What steps do you need to take to make sure they don’t stay around in your body making you sick? And what can you do to get rid of these toxins and improve your health and longevity?
An important step to minimize the effect of toxins on our health is eating right for your genetic type. When you give your cells the nutrition they need to carry out their tasks, these cells slowly regain their capacity to improve health and efficiency. They do this by the body’s natural activities of regeneration, rejuvenation and detoxification. In addition, adding the "right" supplements needed for your genetic type insure that the cells are receiving all the nutrients they need to do their job. What do I mean by "the right supplements"? These are the supplements with just the right nutrients needed for your genetic type. This insures that the cells have an excellent environment in which to fight the daily toxins. When you begin feeding your cells with the correct nutrients, your energy increases and you begin to feel better. Just know that your body is always attempting to balance itself even when it’s battling toxins. The reason our body does this is because every cell carries genes that "know" how to be perfect. Whether it is a brain, a heart or a nerve cell, the body is continuously working toward that balance. Your correct diet and supplements help your body to balance itself easier and faster. If you listen to your body signals, one of the positive signs that your body is becoming healthier is
the elimination of these toxins. The body is always working at becoming balanced and we can assist our cells in this effort. One signal to look for is that we may require more rest than we usually need. This is because it takes energy for our cells to do their job and in the process, feeling more tired or experiencing other types of temporary reactions is normal for our bodies.
For example, I had ten amalgam fillings in my teeth when I was younger. Years later, in my research for becoming as healthy as possible, I became aware of the health problems of mercury in amalgam fillings. I learned that mercury vapor escapes from the amalgam in the mouth and can be stored in the liver, kidneys and brain. In addition, a lot of damage can result from this mercury being absorbed throughout the body. At that time, I was experiencing liver problems as well as a poor memory, and could not figure out why, as I was eating a healthy diet. I explored many solutions that all helped but didn’t totally solve my problem. Eventually, I made the decision to have all of my amalgam fillings removed and replaced with safer alternative composites. Today, I feel so much better and my health has improved because of it. I’m glad I made that decision and for me, it was a good one. However, most people don’t need to go to that extreme. Instead, diet and supplements can take care of many of those problems. You can’t avoid toxins, but don’t allow those toxins to ruin your health. You can take positive action. Give your cells the nutrition and supplements they need, and your body will respond with greater energy and well-being. Soon, you will be growing healthier – not sicker - as you grow older.
